Invitation to Detroit

Alison Vaughn, Founder & CEO, Jackets for Jobs and 2015 ACDN Annual Conference Co-Chair

Greetings, Alliance of Career Development Nonprofit members and guests.

Jackets for Jobs’ is pleased to be the hosting agency for the 2015 ACDN Annual Conference to be held in Detroit October 23-25, 2015.

This year, Jackets for Jobs is excited to celebrate 15 years of assisting Detroit job seekers. Since opening our doors in 2000, we have assisted over 16,000 men and women with employment etiquette skills, career skills training and professional clothes. Thanks to our funding support from Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation and our partner TJ Maxx we are able to have two locations in Detroit.

As an ACDN member, we all have a similar mission which is to empower individuals to enter the workforce. Detroit is a working man’s town. This is the city that created the assembly line.

Detroit has a lot to offer, we are now known as the “comeback city”. Jackets for Jobs’ staff and board members look forward to your visit here in Motown.

When attending the conference, you will be able to visit our beautiful Westside facility designed and maintained by TJ Maxx. You will also have an opportunity to hear some excellent speakers and share best practices and visit one of the Auto Barons’ mansion for a reception.

Please take a moment to register and if there is an agency that you follow on social media or just admire, call and encourage them to attend so you can meet in person. It’s all about sharing best practices so you don’t have to recreate the wheel.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Alison Vaughn, Founder & CEO, Jackets for Jobs, Detroit, Michigan and Co-Chair, 2015 ACDN Annual Conference
